so you do the next best thing and quietly open the drivers side door then push him out

you drive off and into the queer guy, who is caught by surprise and gets knocked onto the ground hard. before he or tom has an opportunity to get up, you drive off. you spot the bathroom dude on the phone as you turn the corner, as well as some pedestrians who have there phones out and are filming the dude you ran over and your car as you drive off

this time as you head out of town your car doesnt blow up. you're on the outskirts of town, when you get a call on the radio to immediately come back to the station and turn yourself in or face being chased down and arrested.

you ignore the police's demands and drive out of town, away from the nuclear reactor. since the fastest way out is the highway, you decide to take it before the police can dispatch anyone to you

unfortunately your car has a gps tracker installed somewhere, and soon you're in a chase. after a grueling 3 hours on the road, they finally corner you, and you are locked up and thrown into a cell.

soon after you see them all head out, presumably to handle the bank robbery.

you can wait until you die, or attempt to convince a cop to let you out. its probably not going to happen though, as the only guy on duty in the local prison is outside and probably sleeping or reading.

despite everything you say you cant get the guard to budge, and you end up only pissing off the rest of the guys in the cells. you end up sounding like a crazed heretic lunatic in the end, even to yourself.

unfortunately being underground doesnt stop you from getting radiation poisoning so you die once again after evacuation. you never imagined that having your skin literally fall off would be so painless, its almost surreal and certainly revolting

you kinda try not to look at your own skin when you wake back up in the cop car, lest you throw up everything you've eaten in the past few hours

you step out of the patrol car after taking off your radio, and start walking away, but you quickly realize that walking wont put you far enough from the power plant. you call a cab and take it out of town, towards the nearest city, then take the subway system there to get even farther.

you still end up suffering from some radiation sickness since you couldnt get far enough fast enough, but its nothing lethal. you survive but later develop severe brain cancer, possibly in part due to the things you read on the internet, saying the entire thing was a government plan to depopulate the zone illegally to build a factory to manufacture contrail mind control gas.

this is a few years later though so it comes as a surprise to you when you are back in your police car. guess god or something wants you to stop this disaster rather than just survive it.

you also grimly wonder if you would be revived if you died but successfully stopped it from happening. probably would be a good idea to always be ready to kill yourself in case such a situation arises, so you can try again

storage locker containing rounds for your shotgun + extra handgun rounds, first aid materials, kevlar vests, spare flashlights, spare radios, other useful gear. standard stuff. not exactly sure but you're too lazy to check.
