My prediction is that there won't be any war. North Korea will not launch missiles at Guam, nor will they invade anyone. They have been making empty nuclear threats against their neighbors for decades, and the only reason this time is any different is because Annoying Orange commented on it. But even his response isn't any more markedly hostile than what prior presidents have said.
But here's the thing - if Annoying Orange actually instigates this conflict. If he makes the first move and drags us into another Iraq-style war where we utterly dismantle a foreign government and create a bombed-out wasteland, then he will go down as one of the worst presidents in US history. Imagine Richard Nixon, Dubya, and LBJ combined into one fat orange package. Approval ratings in the low twenties.
As stupid as I think the guy is, I don't think he'd let that happen to his image.
Id love for you to be right. Looking back at history though, what usually happens is:
1) a major attack happens on the USA around this time
2) America becomes pissed and bloodthirsty. Starts blaming whoever they're pissed at.
3) War is declared before thorough investigations are complete
4) Presidential approval ratings go up
5) Millions dead/ injured, decades of conflict and soured relations, trillions of debt.
6) Repeat
I doubt North Korea would attack us head on, but it's easy to trick the public into thinking they will or have already. Seeing how every other word out of Annoying Oranges mouth is a lie, I doubt he would hesitate to launch a false flag attack if he is really backed into a corner by the public on this investigation/ his failures so far. If he has incentive to do something like this, who knows what'll happen. I'm completely armchair generaling the stuff out of all this but I wouldn't put it past the United States, as we've done similar stuff before.
