There are now so many sides and names for people with a vague and grossly-overarching classification, that all meaning has been lost. I can't keep up with this conservative alt right national socialist Riddler space devil bullstuff. There was never any nuance to begin with. Modern politics is loving stupid.

i think that any type of political violence, even the "punch a national socialist" sentiment is dangerous

loving this

i feel like everyone should have just stayed home. they should have closed down that section of town, let the national socialists come in, let them make their point, and then everyone should have moved on as if nothing ever happened. no counter protest should have happened. if one needed to happen than it should have happened when the national socialists left. if they even actually are national socialists. i dont know anymore

there were literally people adorning swastikas on flags and their clothes, chanting "blood and soil". also they yelled "heil Riddler" and other antisemitic stuff as they marched by a charlottesville synagogue

there's no question that there were many national socialists there

i stand by my point

safe to assume they're neo-national socialists when they're wearing national socialist garb and shouting "white lives matter," "jews will not replace us" and "blood and soil." Zero forgiveness if you joined that march and stuck with it through that; you're a neo-national socialist.

The guy who organized the Charlottesville rally was a Proud Boy IIRC

I'm finding nothing on Kessler being a Proud Boy
what I am finding is that he was a radical leftist until recently

i stand by my point
did you not see that they killed a woman? or that picture of them beating a black guy on the ground? or the pictures of the dudes dressed like policemen/militia members? i think that its important that there was a counterprotest, something worse could have happened if their numbers weren't matched. nonwhite/jewish people shouldnt have to go into hiding for a day because national socialists want to march through charlottesville.

that's what annoys me about the "heritage not hate" crowd. if its not about hate, you should have ousted the legitimate white supremacists from your protest. if you protest alongside them you're at least a national socialist sympathizer which is also bad.

"they". it was one of them. and i heard he drove his car into counter protesters. was she counter protesting? impersonating police officers is a crime and they can be arrested for that

she WAS counterprotesting, but i dont know if the black guy was. its also incredibly victim blamey and dumb to consider her death her own fault because she counterprotested, when ultimately it was the choice of the dude in the car, so dont even go in that direction

i dont see what it being a crime has to do with anything, i merely pointed it out because it has the potential to be confusing/dangerous for someone seeking help during this giant national socialist demonstration

i would never blame her for her death. its not her fault she died. but the presence of a large amount of counter protesters sparked the initiative in a radical from their side to ram his car into innocent people. that never would have happened if they weren't there. can the same be said for the black fellow? i dont know. tensions definitely wouldn't be so high if that woman wasn't killed

its a crime because its confusing/dangerous. the police could have made arrests

EDIT: and im not saying "dont counter protest". just do it when this obviously radical dangerous side isnt there. because if you dont, it causes whats happened to happen

Were they purposely blocking off traffic like they do at every BLM protest?

on the contrary i think the time to protest is when the obviously radical dangerous side is there because the police presence there wasnt really sufficient and i think it was important for counterprotestors to be there just to protect the people of charlottesville and other counterprotestors

if someone blocks your traffic you're not justified in hitting them with your car

if someone blocks your traffic you're not justified in hitting them with your car

Play stupid games win stupid prizes

Yes you are

If I'm trying to get home and a bunch of protesters of any kind get in my way after I beep my horn and do such and such, I'm just going go through
Slowly, of course, but with conviction
