I'm asking specifically for a high-end sound card for a reason. I'm doing music production.

cleaned out my PC, no noticeable difference

I think I may have just made my graphics card worse, I accidentally touched the green circuit board with my bare hand and the duster started spraying liquid onto things

why tf would you need a sound card, your motherboard has one already integrated in
nvm sorry

afaik getting an internal sound card isn't worth it due to the amount of interference inside of the computer case (especially due to the GPU) - might as well get an external DAC

Don't buy a sound card buy more ram

i thought sound cards were designed to protect from interference?

the i5 and 8gb is fine for gaming, he just needs a better GPU.

He doesn't need a sound card though. But since his is broken on his PC, a cheap one will be fine.
He's using a studio application so it's HIGHLY recommended to get at least 12GB RAM (just get 16GB anyway) (I know I am late), the i5 is fine as long as it can handle instructions given from the application.

For best GPU results get a GPU that has 11GB VRAM. A 1070/1080 ASUS is pretty much overkill in my opinion but should be able to run any game at 4K at high settings (possibly ultra) - also great at studio production. I haven't tried any AMD video cards so I have a feeling they'll have better performance in studio than nvidia would.

is there a reason why the gtx geforce 1070 isn't showing a price on my list

it keeps tricking me into thinking the price of my PC went down $1000

nvm it's showing again - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/y7trd6

does anyone know if prices will come down for christmas season and if so by how much

they are but performance on interference is still worse then it just being completely outside of the computer

new parts list, I changed some things

I need help finding a cheaper version of 4 x 8gb ddr4-3000, or 2 x 16gb ddr4-3000 w/o compromising quality (last time someone just took away rgb)

also I need some feedback on the cpu cooler/switching to ryzen 7 1800x/geforce gtx 1080

I also need a 23" 60hz monitor, 1920x1080 resolution that's under like 150$

the monitor I picked is no longer for sale

will u actually buy this?

>>$2486.04

Why 2 different monitors they have different resolutions
I recommend getting a better cooler

What is your updated budget?

budget is still $2500, which is why I'm asking for help bringing down costs without sacrificing quality
