I'd also say that fully automatic weapons are already quite difficult and very expensive to legally obtain.
I'm not saying it's enough, but the people saying "machine guns are legal in Nevada!!" and leaving it at that, while they are correct, are omitting federal regulations and making it sound more lax than it really is
according to ABC he didn't have an automatic weapon, he had a semi-automatic he had modified to bump fire. all the weapons he had with him he had legally purchased.
Hmm, I hadn't heard of bump fire before. It looks like it's technically legal, but sounds to me like something that should be illegal
