Well yeah, of course I have a usb controller lol.
then ye get it!!!!

★: Great games; if you only look into a few, pick these

Narrative:
★ The Nonary Games (visual novel/room escape game with a fantastic plot, on sale)
Fallen London (free-to-play choose-your-own-adventure-esque game with a rich world and excellent writing)
Sunless Sea (sea exploration roguelite with the same world as the above, very atmospheric, on sale)

Strategy:
★ Stellaris (space strategy, on scale)
Hearts of Iron IV (WWII grand strategy game, easy to get into, on sale)
Europa Universalis IV (renaissance/early modern gsg, on sale)
Victoria II (industrial era gsg, a little harder than the others, on sale)
I personally didn't enjoy Crusader Kings II, but it's there if you want to check it out

Sandbox-Ish:
★ Terraria (sort of like a 2D minecraft with heavy RPG elements and a lot more combat, on sale)
★ Factorio (automation ahoy! build a factory and automate production of resources)
Don't Starve / Don't Starve Together (survival roguelite with tons of charm, on sale)

Other:
★ Tabletop Simulator (you can play thousands of board games online)
Rocket League (action-packed game where you play soccer as a car with a rocket strapped to it)
Windward (Sid Meier's Pirates for the modern era)
Plague Inc (infect the world with a disease of your creation)

I can't really offer opinions on FPS games, since they're not really my style.
