pxls.space is a lot like r/place, with a few other features, such as a larger canvas (3,996,001 pixels, that's 1,999 by 1,999!), a built-on heatmap that allows you to see recently active areas, and a template feature, allowing you to put a slightly transparent image over the canvas for reference.

it has created various communities of users, such as "The Void", a community with the goal of spreading the void across the canvas, "Green Lattice", a group creating something like the void, but with green pixels every two pixels across, creating a neat pattern, and various collaborative art pieces, like "Task Manager", "Sburb Beta Logo", various trolls, also from homestuck, "Cuphead", and many more.

This thing is pretty fun, you should really join the fun and try to help make some art.

You don't need a reddit account, you can login with Discord, VK, Reddit, tumblr, and, most importantly, Google.

Check the center of the canvas.

I feel like the magic in /r/place was how temporary and in the moment it was. I don't think things like this have really succeeded in capturing that lightning in a bottle

Have you ever heard the tragedy of darth plageuis the wise?

You're right, this isn't really as popular and active as /r/place, but at least SOME people use it and collaborate, right?

Yeah, it's still cool. I just think this is a good case study on people trying to recreate certain phenomena to less success

for some reason it's not letting me place any pixels
edit: it's letting me place things but only on already used spots
odd
