Author Topic: What were your best moments in Online Gaming?  (Read 2373 times)

I can only think of one, I joined an online server in the racing simulator game Assetto Corsa a few weeks ago, it was a Mazda MX-5 Cup Race and there were more than 20 players, I managed to pass some cars on the corners and some span out, but the best moment was when a White and Green Mx-5 started to compete against me, we were racing on edge, passing each other very competitively, it was really intense (imagine one of these episodes in Initial D where two racers compete throught the entire race very close to each other), at the end I sadly span out and he passed me, but it was the most intense race I've participated, and we were doing drifts and donuts at the end with the other racers to celebrate, I finished in 11th place and he in 10th, pretty average when you consider the skills of the racers in the front, I wish I had recorded that moment.

Playing custom Warcraft III maps online.

It was such a big part of my life for a few years in middle school and yet I've never heard anyone mention the game since. It's like all those memories were fake. I remember a battleships MOBA (before the term MOBA even existed), a stuffton of tower defense games, roleplaying games like life of a peasant, shroom world, a stuffton of tag games, etc.

I even made a stuffty farming simulator map and an animal tag map at one point.

Edit:

I also loved playing Wurm Online. Lot of memories. Too bad all my progress and all my friends over the years I spent there were all for nothing.

really like any moment where me and an enemy somehow become friends and we have a truce
make love not war!!

i like the moment the enemy thinks im trucing with them because im reloading and when im finished i blast them back to hell

Playing Irk89's Sims maps on Age of Mythology. That was pretty much my entire childhood and I loved it.

this may have happened to me a few times on both sides

i like it when someone is unbelievably toxic to me so i hit them with pg insults and it only infuriates them even more that they're being insulted by things a disney comedic relief character would say

Today I got the wild idea to figure out how to rank up the Strength, Stealth and Flight stats, since those have been quite low (since I never melee and I stopped flying a while back) and most other players my level have them maxed.

The crew and I did a number of missions, eventually we got our favourite, A Titan of a Job. Me and Jun went off to go rank stats, while Clownfish, Maxwell and Steve went off to do forget knows what. After somebody killed somebody else and removed our one spare spare life, eventually I see the notification; Jun and Maxwell had run into each other and both died. Steve called it and said he'd go finish the mission (because it's no fun spectating while others are grinding), and I told him I'd work my way over there slowly so I could bust a couple more people up for the Strength stat.

By the time I arrived at the Hanger, it had all gone to stuff. Steve was dead, his jet was "gone", the Titan was on fire, the truck's trailer had disappeared and there was still two dozen pissed off army dudes waiting for me. As I started to snipe them from behind my RE-7B (while chugging down snacks thanks to the game freezing whenever I was exposed), Clownfish flew in on his bike and got annihilated.

After duking it out and killing all the cunts (and Steve's internet connection forced him to drop), despite the commands of my fallen comrades to blow the ship up and force a mission restart, I soldiered on, got inside the Titan and did my best to take off. Two of the engines (3&4, both on the right) were completely dead, and the 1&2/Left engines were heavily damaged and prone to cutting out. Taking off was a nightmare, and keeping the bird in the air wasn't any easier.

Due to the uneven power distribution (and since GTA doesn't have realistic flight controls like I have in FSX), the AC-130 forgetship wanted to barrel-roll like a mother forgeter. In order to keep it level, I had to constantly apply rudder and counter roll, trying to keep it straight. I also retracted the flaps to reduce drag and did my best to pitch down to increase thrust.

I'll be honest, the landing was the tightest thing I've ever done, and I so wish I got a screenshot of The Moment™. I came in on a 45 degree angle to the runway, still pitched nose-down and half-way down runway length-wise while at full speed. With a quick Scandinavian Flick and some mad holding on the breaks, I brought that sucker down and claimed my $25,270 prize.

That was my greatest moment in all of my GTA Online experience.

I was too young to play it online, but even still, I actually remember bits of the campaign even though it came out 15 years ago. It was a good game.

Last time I was good at a game was in Halo 3. I got some ridiculous rare rank that I can't remember, and I was topping the score list every single game. I try that stuff now and I suck ass. Idk if I got worse or everyone else got better.

made some close friends via blockland

I hosted 20 minute endurance races in GT6 and ignoring the people who cheated by using a tuning bug with LMP cars it was quite fun and quite competitive

o ya i didn't even consider my blockland online experiences lol

in that case my favorite moments are when my servers get a decent amount of people on it and when i made friends while doing so, those were good times :')

I think some of my favorite moments were those rare times in Team Fortress 2 where you would get a good team that was willing to work together and communicate. It's so much fun to be part of a coordinated team and just KICK ASS.
