Author Topic: [NEWS] Yet again the FCC is threatening net neutrality (PETITION)  (Read 30563 times)

One day I will speak with someone on here who pays their own utilities and bills. That day is not today.

Hello, I pay my own utilities and bills

I know your crippling sociopathy convinces you that everyone is beneath you, but being a responsible adult isn't as big of a life goal as you think it is lmfao

"Ad hominem makes me look cool"

Bruh I'm married, my income is the principle income, and I pay all my rent and utilities, insurance, paid off my car, and am ahead on student loans.

What are you exactly trying to prove by your ridiculous assertions?
dude youre married? omg

If what this says is true then I definitely support the repeal of net neutrality. And don't sneer T where its from, everything is sourced

ignored

but seriously, first of all, something being a title II utility doesn't mean the government loving runs it lol.  it means companies providing that utility have to follow certain rules. you can read the act (title II starts at page 35) instead of just taking the word of some guy on reddit. and seeing as that was his only argument against title II, and it is clearly flawed, you may want to reconsider taking the post seriously. his entire issue with the idea is that obama did it
in fact, broadband service being considered a utility is a good thing. it would help ensure that everyone has reasonably-priced access to service, just like with water and electricity (which are often provided by private companies). I don't believe, however, that the current title II classification actually includes all of the regulations that would actually accomplish any of that. it was pretty much just classified as such so that the FCC could enforce net neutrality. which is a stupid half measure

I don't necessarily care who enforces net neutrality, but internet service should be a utility. if you don't think it's vital to modern life in the US, I don't know what to tell you

also that entire reddit post is absolute bullstuff. like 90% of it is just complete nonsense and his supposition that the FTC would regulate monopolistic ISPs is out of this world. if it hasn't happened before it definitely isn't gonna happen under donald Annoying Orange's presidency
