Author Topic: couple questions before I buy  (Read 1243 times)

I think I remember this game before it even came out and there was just news of a guy announcing hes working on a game blockland. I never thought it would come down to what it has now, great job developers!

anyway im finally thinking about buying the game with the exception of a few things I would like answered, please.

1. can my computer run this game smoothly, even with lots of buildings and action everywhere?

1024 ram
pentium 4
3.2 ghz
Radeon 9250 256mb

2. How many people are actualley on at any time, like give me a rough estimate. From what ive heard its only like 23 people

3.can this game hold my attention for a long while, in other words is it fun?

thanks

Rofl 3.2ghz and a Radeon 9250...

youll be fine but a RAM upgrade might me nice as well

its more like 25-30 people at one time, it picks up to about 40-50 in the day

And if you get the hang of builiding or scripting it will be fun for a long time

1. You should be fine.  There are always exceptions but its not always you causing it.

2. In the middle of a school day as low as 10 - 20.  On weekends of about 8 or 9 EST you can get over 100.  But not by much.

3. Learning can get boring.  Once you become a pro you may play for years.  You just have to get that far.

ok cool i should be buying it this weekend around friday-saturday.

anyway what is the general audience for this game, ive gone to the drama section and it seems most people that people are complaining about seem like a child no older than 8? Im 15 and kind of looking for a more mature audience. It also seems this game requires quite alot of thinking, which is my kind of game. Perhaps though once I get the game would anyone be willing to show me the "ropes"?

thanks

Just find teh right peoples.

this game seems unbeleivable!

im not sure if this is possible, but hear are several things I thought of that you might be able to do in the game that im not sure of

1.could you build a house than have like a zombie outbreak and have an army head toward the house while you and several friends blocade and defend the house?

2. could I build say a.......airplane and make it fly?
3. could I build a (whatever the hell that huge legged things is from starwars, you know the battle of hoth" and make it walk?

please answer because if so i think I may have finalley found a game that will keep my attention for over 5 minutes

I couldnt find the edit butten but, i just learned that block land will be coming out with v9 soon with this would I have to buy the game again? Along with this will the graphics be improved because im worried of the stress better graphics could put on my comp

No you wouldn't have to re-buy it, it has an auto-updater.
1.Yes
2.No, although it might be possible sometime in the future.
3.No, this would take a whole lot of work to script something
to make the legs actually move in sync amd everything.

ah ok zombies are fine with me.

what about taking a jeep and putting a turret on it and driving around taking out zombies?

Not in game but they can vehicles and weapons can be edited to fit your needs.

Biggest pre-purchase brown townysis of Blockland i've ever seen haha.

The v9 update wont have a huge effect on graphics, and your Radeon card will be fine for you -  i'm on an onboard intel graphics card and the fps lag is tolerable, so you'll be fine.

well im planning on buying the game today, and so I was wondering if anyone wanted to show me the ropes (i may have already mentioned this) But yah anyone want to train a noob in the art of blockland?

if you got xfire- iamlegend2900

or just pm me here

thanks guys for the help I look forword to building houses and doing drive by's

this just came to mind from watching a garrys mod vid, are there nukes?

nukes? Yes, I guess, but that was a bad add-on me thinks
