I want to get into practicing HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts), but I don't have a blade to get started with. Where's a good place to get one?

Why does it need to be sharp?
Try purple heart armory.
Also get a book on hema, thats is very important as well.

Test cutting, like tatami mats and water bottles. and people

At least get a synthetic sword with the real sword to practice with a local group. You shouldnt go off and behead your fellow hema friends.

my blades are too strong for you, traveler.

i did a lot of research on getting into hema around the start of this year, never actually went through with it tho. bought a new replacement pair of mma gloves instead lol

iirc this one was highly recommended on forums and such as a practical "battle-ready" sword. if u don't like it or want a full-on long sword then that website has a pretty nice selection anyways

I'm not much of a sword guy, I'm just subscribed to skallagrim for historical videos and this is one of the most high praised swords he's shown off
