Because how are you supposed to trust a source that lies about something which is incontrovertibly true? It's not like geopolitics where your own worldview influences how you put a spin on events- it's science that you either correctly report on, or deliberately misinform people.

I don't know. I hold climate change in kind of a different category than stuff like the Iran Nuclear Deal or the wage gap. You can 'be wrong' about those things by putting some sort of honest-but-biased spin on them, but lying about climate change is like posting an article that claims that an actual oil spill never happened to begin with.

But it's ideologically dishonest to be wrong about the science and refuse to correct it. It's not like they weren't rebutted by experts and explained why the whole 'natural cycle' argument is BS.
