When a dog is pregnant though and has a puppy inside of her big bulging belly, that is attractive to me. There's something... no, someone... meaningful inside that nice female tummy :)

homelessness and overpopulation are completely unrelated for humans in virtually all of modern society. unlike dogs which are at the mercy of having enough people willing to own a pet, humans are able to choose how to live and they have the power to do so. most homeless people are homeless not because of overpopulation but because of bad life decisions or because of financial reasons. the only reason dogs are ever homeless is because there is too large a supply of dogs in relation to the demand for pets in society.
You brought up the issue in the first place by mentioning that your mom is a dog breeder and by posting this thread. When I saw you mentioned your mom's been breeding dogs for decades I simply wanted to know if you were aware of the massive issue of overpopulation in pet species. It's completely relevant.

I hate seeing other dogs have to suffer because of things out of their control (such as too high a supply of dogs to equal the number of people who want to own pets) and be euthanized as a result.
