people have waited over a year to see smash come out for the switch, and they didn't know when it would come. the way nintendo pulled off the announcement caught everyone off guard, ensuring that people would go insane.

Instead of continuing to increase the already ridiculous roster, maybe they should remove and replace some characters. I doubt anyone would be too torn up if characters like Dark Pit and Wii Fit Trainer weren't in this next game.

Also let's get some indie representation please. Give me some of that Shovel Knight.

smash 4 was really unenjoyable for me, dunno why. seems like they dove into the corporate bullstuff instead of taking the time to create a well balanced game. hopefully this one is better.

Since it's coming out this year, it'll probably be more like smash 4.5 unless they've been keeping it under wraps for awhile. Can't see why they'd develop a totally new SSB when they already have so much made from SSB4, but who knows.
I'm looking forward to it either way, though

Could it be that this is the Melee sequel we always wanted? Was Smash 4 a continuation and improvement of Brawl-style smash? Were they always planning to make another Melee-style one after Smash 4???

Probably not, but it's a cool idea to think about.
