Author Topic: dead malls  (Read 5198 times)

recently picked up an interest in dead malls
dead malls as in malls that have either:
A - low amounts of visitors
B - no visitors at all/no stores (is basically just for walking around)
C - completely abandoned with no chance of coming back

if you don't know what i'm talking about, have a couple images:

this is rolling acres mall -- really bad one, basically completely abandoned. it's demolished as of now
it's had a really bad history of crime going down. there was the body of someone found behind the mall, someone died trying to get copper wiring from it (electrocution), and even bullet holes were found on the glass in portions of the mall
it's definitely one of the most infamous, but there's lots more

dan bell does a lot of good videos on this stuff, including a video on rolling acres mall
others include pittsburgh mills, k-mart (while not a mall, it's a good video), and a forgetton of others
also got a series on dead motels too

overall dead malls look really interesting. the quiet feeling and just looking around at what once was is honestly just something i enjoy. peaceful, too. the more abandoned side of malls on the other hand is also interesting, but not something i'd want to see in person -- a bit too dangerous and likely an easy way to get killed if you're alone

anyone else have an interest in this kind of thing? i don't even really care about the vaporwave aesthetic some people use in videos and such, the age and ruin of some of these places is just something i like for some reason

not trying to be rude but is this a gag on swift?

what
he probably meant swifthyena/raccooneer
swift has a special interest for malls and sears stores and dead malls are the opposite of what he likes so darth thinks that this topic was made to be a goof on him

darth thats like making a topic of FTL and saying it must be a prank on planr because he likes star trek

honestly, I'm interested in like decaying of companies that have been around forever and it's kind of interesting to see where it goes

abandoned malls have a really nice aesthetic to them

mall special interest is also the new craze, realise it or not people really like dead malls

kind of like that dude who had the tile special interest on 4chan, but not weird af

did u play left four dead two

abandoned malls have a really nice aesthetic to them
that decaying mall with the jc penny in the background is aesthetic

darth thats like making a topic of FTL and saying it must be a prank on planr because he likes star trek
I mean I was just curious because until now the only person here that I know has an interest in malls is Swift

BRO THATS THE ONE FROM THE LAST OF US

abandoned malls are for normies

true google images searchers look for abandoned hotels

an interest in what way...? bc if you mean a place to hang out in abandoned hospitals or insurance firms are a much better bet structurally and are generally more interesting
