reminder that hersheys puts the same acid that makes the vomit taste and smell like that into their chocolate

basically Hershey's, to make their chocolate cheaper, uses a process that produces butyric acid, the chemical that gives vomit its taste and smell. in an attempt to mimic the Hershey's chocolate flavor, competing companies added butyric acid into their own chocolate recipes.

It's because it's milk chocolate and the rest of the world's chocolate is much more bitter. Dark chocolate is Americas closest approximation.
