Author Topic: [NEWS] Did you guys know these are the real forums for discussion?!  (Read 4190 times)

imagine making people pay for a game because you worked hard on it, and you make it cheap.
and people decided to stuff on you because it isn't free even though it's cheap

Hasn't tony made a topic complaining about this before?

The stickies are still there.
So what? Nobody moderates the steam forums so it's for the best

Has no one tried to contact Greek2me to get those removed?

hah this aint news to me cause i saw this yestersay :ooo

I'm sure they know of the issues it's causing on steam community.

I don't think they care though.

I wouldn't take Greek as the uncaring type, maybe there's actually a reason, maybe he just hasn't thought to delete them

Snot's good at raising the dead, maybe he can contact Greek

Like I understand they want to advertise the official forums and let people know official support will not be offered on the steam community page.

I don't think they realize the people who browse the steam page are the type of people that ask if they should buy the game or not.

So they are being told they will be ignored on the steam community and that they should go to the official forums. Well the official forums requires paid activation. So how the forget can they ask "should I buy this game" on this forum then? After they were told not to post on steam discussions, they have no where to go.

I don't imagine they'd get a very good response from the steam forum even if it was moderated

Because they already loving own the key.

Well that's not true, they'd probably get a really good response here

So you're telling me that we should keep the sticky topics because of toxic people on the steam discussions?
no

K so then there shouldn't be an issue with removing the front page spam to appear less toxic for potential new players then.
I don't really think it's toxic though. A bit in-your-face sure, but not toxic. It's best they come here anyway

It's not necessary and looks unprofessional.
It's the steam forum though, who cares?

Ultimately I think the steam users should be driven here regardless, this is where the actual community is. I don't really see how much value there is in trying to clean up the steam forums for 'potential players', and evidently badspot doesn't see the value either if he hasn't pushed to do so.

A whole page of sticky spam is already pretty toxic and unprofessional.

Also why are you editing older posts to reply to a new post?  :nes:
