um........... neither. some bullstuff

is this some sort of joke?

he's very clearly saying laurel lol

it's laurel, end of story. Yes I know it's the two words laced on top of each other at different frequencies.

yanny
if i turn up my volume it clearly sounds like laurel
this stuff is crazy

It's not even this. I just isolated the audio and there is no evidence of any layering at all.
People are just dumb.

i can't not hear Laurel

No, it really is legit
On my desktop, with headphones, I hear Laurel
But on my phone I hear Yanny

Idk. Ive been picking at it for a long time across my desktop surround sound speakers, my monitor's speakers, my phone, my headphones. I tried isolating the tracks, high passing, low passing, any filters imaginable, high and low volume, bass boosting, bass reduction, anything I could think of. I heard the same word over all of them granted the filtering didn't muffle it out into nothing.

I can find no proof that the audio was tampered with.

so far i only hear yanny on my phone. can't check my desktop since i won't be home for a week lol

I've seen some videos deconstructing this, and yes, it seems to have layered audio. "Laurel" at low pitch, "yanny" at high pitch. But it still baffles me that anyone can hear "yanny" in this - the low pitches are just so much more dominant. I literally cannot hear "yanny" no matter what I do. It's so obviously "laurel" on my phone, my desktop, AND my earbuds.
