I think I am the only person on the Blockland forums that thinks Guitar Hero III failed. Guitar Hero II required more accurate timing, and had way better songs. Guitar Hero III just had a buttload of easy songs, then a hand full of ridiculous ones. Guitar Hero II had awesome extra songs, and the career was very evenly spread out in terms of difficulty. I love Rockband, it's basically Guitar Hero II with different instruments and TONS of downloadable songs.

The Rockband stuff is too cheap and breaks easily. I voted GHII

Just because the equipment is cheap, doesn't mean it's a bad game. The gameplay is great. I voted Rockband.

None of my Rock Band equipment has broken, other than the guitar. Pretty much everyone's guitar broke.

I voted Rock Band.

Rock Band only, i wasn't crazy over the Guitar Hero games

I played Guitar Hero 2 for a while, and when I switched over to Guitar Hero 3, I noticed a big change in the way it played and registered the hits.  I could tell that you had a bigger time window to hit the notes.  Guitar Hero 2 took more skill in my opinion, like you said.

I've never played Guitar Hero 1, and I don't think I want to.  I've heard that you can't hammer-on and pull-off.  That'd get on my nerves, I wouldn't be able to play that.

Guitar Hero 3 had some really neat songs.  My favorite songs are Cult of Personality, Take This Life, Through the Fire and Flames(what?  It's fun to play),  Don't Hold Back, Raining Blood, FCP REMIX, and The Devil Went Down to Georgia.  I think I'm missing a few.

I have yet to play Rockband.  I'd love to play it, but I do not have the money to get all the crap.  It'd be cool to be able to sing and play the guitar at the same time.  You'd have to know the songs lyrics, I suppose.  I hope there are some songs on there I recognize.

I voted for Guitar Hero 2 and Guitar Hero 3.

Very nicely said JubeiX90. I don't even have all the Rockband equipment, I just have the game. And you can use the standard microphone that comes with Xbox live and a controller to sing, (on 360, I don't know about PS3) so if you have a 360, you can sing and play guitar at the same time with just the game. I would suggest buying it too.

Edit: Danger, I've heard that if you have PS3, the GHIII guitar will not work on it, so if you have a PS3, I would suggest getting the full kit.

I got the full kit on PS3, I love the guitar, I need another.

Rock Band forever! I haven't even thought about playing another 360 games since I got this gem.
Once you get used to how the drums are, playing the guitar feels a little silly and very boring.

I'm currently ranked in the 1500's as of right now. Not entirely terrible considering over 1 million games were sold.
I'm also only 8 stars short of getting every possible star in the solo career.
I'll get them eventually. I just need to be in a perfect mental and physical state.
Blah, blah, blah... Please allow me to remove my head out of my ass...

In case anybody is still wondering about the durability of the Rock Band peripherals...
I'm on my second guitar. The first one was having strumming issues.
I'm on my second set of drum pads. My red and possibly a few other pads were very unresponsive at times.
My pedal is broken in 4 places. The pedal itself has snapped twice; in the middle and at the hinge. The base is also cracked in two places.

A little duct tape fixed the pedal up pretty good.
I haven't sent it in for a replacement yet because I guess I'm waiting on either a new pedal design to be released, or me to get off my ass and get a metal pedal.

Great game. Don't expect to get through the expert drums career without breaking your pedal at least once. I guarantee you it will break.

Game: 9/10
Equipment: 3/10

Too long? Just get this game and make sure you have a credit card handy for those replacements.

Extra guitars will be sold in April, according to the Rock Band website. :D

Why has everyone had issues with their equipment? The only problem I've had is a strumming issue with my guitar, and that starts and stops working randomly.

GH3 was waaay to dam easy man GH2 was very fun  and Rockband was just kickass I have a 360 and downloaded  "Still Alive" from portal  :cookieMonster:

Needs a "forget that, Real guitar." option.

Get the forget out.

I play real guitar and guitar hero, there's nothing wrong with playing songs you wouldn't even dream of for another few years.
