Author Topic: Searching for Yndaaa's Dino Playertype  (Read 3232 times)

On Febuary 1st, 2011, the YouTube video "The Land Before Lyme Disease" was put up by godzillahr to promote Yndaaa's Dinosaur playertype.

Here's the video:

Despite surfing google, I haven't had much luck finding any remnants of this add-on.
Would anyone somewhere happen to have this add-on saved, or know where its' uploaded?

Update: With help from Masterlegodude, The model has been found, but the script is not perfected.

Also, Authors note: I can't remember how to attach images to BL forum posts. When I figure it out I'll be able to document my search.

Update: Image has been attached

I found an archive of the topic it was originally mentioned in

Why not just use this?

it's funny because compared to them it looks so simple to make that dino which you're asking

Because I prefer the retro and simplistic add-ons, as opposed to the high poly realistic ones.

have you checked https://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=320590.0

The website didn't give up any results when searching "dino" or "dinosaur". Have you found it yourself using that archive?

I asked Yndaaa if they still had this, and luckily they did, but it'll have to be packaged properly

The ZIP also contains the .blend file for the model

Does this just needs to be put into a .zip file, then its' ready to go?

Okay so update: Now I get what you mean.

There seems to be some internal scripts missing.

I didn't get to test it, and it is really old, so it probably needs some fixing up

It definitely does, from when I tested.

Would anyone know how to fix it? It seems the Trex's model isn't really attached to anything in the scripts. It doesn't have any animations or collision, it's off center, and the textures aren't being used.

I also think compared to the 'Land Before Lyme' video, it isn't set to scale.

I can probably fix it unless someone with more modeling experience wants to.

It's basically a re-skin of the default horse. It uses the same animations, sounds, and apparently the same script.
