I was compleatly self sustaining at the point before they came, I spent most of my time improving my little village...

I put a gaurd tower by the lion and it shoots so many arrows, but none hit the lion. Then in the morning (gametime) you can go and pick up about 200 arrows. (if you are the right hunting level)

Lol, i made tons of raptors on map editor and a hotgun with a stuffload of ammo. <30 minutes later> Over 1200 raptors killed.
