Gmod Question

How do you change what directX to use?

It runs on my computer but i would like it to run better and the only way to get that is to run a lower Direct X.

My card is directX 9 compatible but i would like to run Gmod in Direct x 7 or 8

open the advanced settings and put in -dxlevel 8 or -dxlevel7

Can you do that so like the quality isnt as great but it will work cause mine crashes and i have direct x 9??

Direct x7 does not support stuff.
