Didn't someone copyright minigames in loading screens? Some big game company, I read it in PCgamer magazine..

I'll definitely do the puzzle of your screenshots one, like in the Cabana on Zelda Windwaker.

The problem with the platformer is that it is very schedule-heavy and in conjunction with loading a mission, you'll get pretty crappy performance.

Plus, some people can't even move their cursor while loading. Lulz

"Namco actually has a patent on playing minigames during loading screens"

But its a community mod so those sorts of copyrights don't have any bearing, unless we make people pay to use them.

Nah, it still matters. I wouldn't worry about it anyway. They won't give a damn. :)

What kind of puzzle would people prefer? One where you just swap two pieces to eventually complete the puzzle, or one where one of the pieces is removed and you can only move pieces into that empty slot?

Oh god, the first one, slider puzzles suck balls.

Yeah I actually timed myself doing a slider puzzle to see if I could complete it before an average map loads, and I still haven't completed it. I think i'll do two types, a slider one for random play when you're bored, and a drag & drop one for loading. They're nice and easy, about 4x3 tiles.

Does anyone know if its a logical impossibility to complete a slider puzzle if they aren't square? I actually haven't seen one person complete this yet.

I don't see that happening.

I've found ones on the internet that are 4x3 so it must be doable.

No minigames while loading. Multiple loading screens and or loading music is a possibility.

Thanks for your contribution.

How about like elevator music. You put your own MP3's in a folder and you can with a little music player choose your song and play it during load.

Yes, because we all want to convert and move our music and not use iTunes.
