build walls around the workshop with a door you can lock incase he goes insane.

Also, it turns out that the fortress guard keep killing each other, I've already had two fatalities.
They spar when off duty. Remove their weapons and try to get their Toughness up by training them in wrestling, we had a steel mace lying around and god forbid the dwarves spar with that thing until they can get a full set of iron/steel armor.

As for the Cut gem problem, you probably already have the right gem, the dwarf just needs to get the Silk first before getting the gem.

- leather = check
- Wood = check
- gold bards = check
- silk = >:(
- cut gems = I ain't getting no god damn rock 'til I get some god damn silk!

For the cloth problem, grow some Pig Tails, build a Loom and have someone ready with the Weaving job, or clothier or some such.

They don't even have weapons, they're breaking each other's necks while wresling.
Anyway, I'm waiting for a caravan to bring some silk cloth, since there's loads of pig tail cloth lying around.

Crazy dwarves.

Try assigning a few War Dogs to the moody dwarf if you have some lying around.

Unfortuantely, the fortress is a tad slow on my computer, and as a result, progress is slow, I'll have an update later.

Sadly, the leatherworker finally snapped after waiting too long for his silk cloth, he proceeded to kill a cat and spread it's blood everywhere before being struck down by the fortress guard, also, some unknown metalsmith has been elected mayor.

Edit: we just caught a goblin snatcher in some cage traps I set up, now we can use him in some sort of arena when we capture a giant eagle or an alligator.

Edit 2: It turns out it was the mayor's lover's cat, and the new mayor is the old mayor's lover, I swear that something fishy is going on.

Lies and dwarven leather sandals.  I never knew this man, or this cat!

How are the stocks doing?

There's enough food to feed twice as many dwarves for a matter of years, and weapons are being filled with the arms from the two goblin ambushes which I now have either dead or caged up.

What is the ingame date?

I think it's the 3rd Malachite, early summer. It's progressing slow since I get FPS's of about 10-40 depending on how many dwarves are being lazy.

Try stuffing all the animals that are running around inside that cage in the meeting hall, that should help a bit

They already are, and there's no wild animals.

I just figured out what might be killing all the dwarves...

I left a Catapult on "Fire at Will" on top of the Blood Tower if I remember correctly, I was trying to hit the Snailmen.

More scandles! It was the siege operator who killed the mayor's cat!

I call next!

I have epic ideas for Bloodglazed
