i think I've mentioned this to you guys at one point.
this is one of my most fav games ever, I've been playing for like 10 years maybe lol.

not nearly as competitive as you would expect a mutiplayer tycoon game to be. just a great social game. watching each others things develop.
make money, build more vehicles, make a huge messy network of track and roads.
some map sizes can be massive

Me and my friends love the Tycoon games, and if this one is like any of the other's we've played I'll love you forever, especially because of the online part.

transport tytcoon was the first tycoon game. (tt deluxe was kind of a special edition version here)
and openttd is a huge mod, made by the hardcore community thats left of this game. you would be surprised how many public servers there are for this very old game.
but you need this openttd mod for multiplayer, the original version of the game only hosted 1on1 ip games,

OpenTTD is not a mod, its a source port (witch like the names says it ports/modifies the games source code so it works on newer OS's and sometimes adds new features)

edit: a quick wikipedia searching reports thats its abandon ware, might want to verify that
