I don't even play mmos and I bet I can name quite a few not-free ones.  Lets see... EverQuest 2, Guild Wars, Ragnarok Online, Starwars Galaxies, Age of Conan, Lineage II.  Note that these are all modern 3D games with AAA budgets and good content.  Basically, any mmo that is worth anything you have to pay for.

But anyway, if there are so many great free MMOs out there, why don't you just go play them?  Oh wait, it's because they are either NOT FREE or stuff.  What you really want is Blockland, so quit stalling and give me your goddamn money.  Cough up the 20 bucks one time and you never have to pay again.  No monthly fee, no required expansion packs, just buy it and play.  A better deal you will not find anywhere.

lol don't give hiiim the money give meee the moneyXD

@badspot Guildwars is has the same purchase system as Blockland you buy it, install, it play with no monthly fee :P

You moron rofl is laughing it wasn't part of the sentence basically.
Proper English you Moron.
No, it means that you're an Abbreviation Abusing Whore.
MONTY IS A NOOB FOR TAKING MY IDEA OF PROPER ENGLISH MORON!!!!
And what does this make you huh?
You're an AAW, you write PMs laced with fail and AIDS because you can't fight in front of a crowd, you modify quotes, you try to act tough and big in front of others, you turn yourself into a red-faced hypocrite and last of all, you're far too young to be able to provide a good argument, you're only still here because we can get more drama out of you. I suggest you stop, before you dig your own grave any deeper.
In other news Lewscapeowner just got pwned :D

actually I didn't, I choose not to reply because how rediculous this is getting. I'm done with this bull stuff.

Shattered Galaxy and Blade Mistress used to cost money, but now you can get it at their site free.  Hellgate: London is free (you just have to buy the game, which you can do at a store, separating it from Blockland).  American Revolutionary War won Game Of The Year 2007 and #1 on the top 25 best video games of all time list (and is ad free).

Just give it a rest your not going to change Badspot's mind.

If you look you can clearly see other people want it to be free, just look at the poll.  People value freedom, the only bad thing is that Communist China has the highest population and I guess a lot of communists play this game so they voted no, but us peace loving countries care!

Thats completely different though.  This is a online game, you have to send a check and money order to some unknown company or guy that could be ripping people off.  Plus it will take a few weeks for the company to activate your account.

It's practically activated as soon as you buy it.

And look at us, we're regular Blockland players. Do we seem ripped off to you?

1. internet is not free, you pay for it.
2. you also pay for phone line (if you use that type of interweb, and who don't have a phone anyway?)

also your "account" is normally working within a few minutes
(took me 3 mins to get it the day it came out)

The hell does your argument have to do with anything? This is like me saying:

This is why Blockland should NOT be free:

1. Electronics aren't free
2. In theory love isn't free
3. Food isn't free
4. houses and apartments aren't free
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It has nothing to do with Blockland for god's sake.
The internet was first used to network some sort of radar or something. It certainly isn't free, too.

Also, why on earth would you be ripped off? Do you feel special or something? Over two thousand other people bought this game with no problems whatsoever.
The internet is growing constantly and guess what, people even buy food on the internet!

Also, Free I? Do you seriously use that?
http://www.freei.net/
Pfft, oh look! I can look at research for 10 hours a month and sacrifice my phone line! Also, how do you know that Free I is legit and they weren't going to rip you off?

The Internet is free, some Internet providors today and in the old days use Free Internet, its just they are ussually dialup or fisherprice broadband.

Just wanted to point out 2 things.

1) the poll is clearly not going according to your plan (last time I check it was 56 "no" to 3 "yes").

2) Costing money is one of the few barriers this community has against a "true" "wave of newbs". "quote".

Capitalism is a disease, but Badspot spent many long hours and dollars for a game that was seemingly not going make him a profit. I salute him for even caring for such a long period of time... so shut up and ask your mommy for a credit card.

Also, the United States = a FREE country.

Are you trolling or just a child?  Well it doesn't matter because you're banned.  Send me an email when you finally get your mom to buy the game for you and I'll un-ban you.

On a side note: Freedom is not free.

Also, your going by the social political spectrum, not the economic.

And.....ha.

%99.9 of all games are free to play

that is extremely far from the truth. MOST ALL games cost something. and the better the games, the more likely they will cost.

when browsing the net for games, i am instantly turned off of games that claim to be free. it means the content sucks, and the community sucks.

Best Game Dev ever...

Yea, it is nice to have a dev that shows intelect and personality instead of a number puncher behind a computer that leaves interaction with the community to people who joined the community early on.
