MGS4 (Finished, Spoilers be aware)

I've been sick since Sunday so I got a chance to play it for ages. I got up on Monday played a bit of MGS4 and went to bed, I had spent 16 Straight hours playing/watching MGS4 and completed it :D I personally hate rushing games but MGS4 I had to know what happens next and it was probably one of the best story/games I've ever played in my entire life, even was more enjoyable then GTA IV.

What I can say about the game is if you haven't played all of the Metal Gear Solids before 4 (Only the numbered ones) then DO NOT play MGS4, there is so much referral content to the older MGS its not worth ruining MGS4 if you don't understand it. One last thing before I start talking about the game (Spoilers etc) is the game itself, once again if you haven't played the others then MGS4 isn't for you but a main reason is the gameplay itself, allot of cigarettes and lame fools will complain about the cutscreens and story line movies, I spent atleast 4 hours in the 16 straight watching them, Unless you like the story don't play it. The game play is sweet and super awesome easy controls but you'll be spending a long time watching things.

Don't read if you Love MGS4 for your own sake, really I thought MGS4 was the best final game I'll ever play so really don't even think about reading this stuff if you don't want to ruin one of the greatest games :(


I have to say the Only thing and I mean ONLY thing I didn't like about MGS4 is how Snake only has a few months to live in the end :( I guess the old age thing was a "Series Ender", a way to end the series making it impossible for them to have a come back, sad yes but any more would of been too much. Some of my fav parts was getting in to Metal Gear Rex, I drooled at that then got to fight Ocelot/Liquid in his RAY, pure epic fun :D I also loved how Akiba was the guard from the Prison on MGS1 with the toilet problems, I thought that was one of the funniest things. I fell in love with you since the day I first laid eyes on you "OH GOD NOT AGAIN (Runs to the toilet)". Also the Physic guy from MGS1 trying to battle you again but can't read the PS1 Memory card and says you have a hardware upgrade. The one that got me by far was the part where you run down to the Ray Area back where on the PS1 you had to change discs and Otacon calls you saying you have to change disc, when that happened before I ran into it I was like "lol this is where you had to change discs" then Otacon rang :D

And the battle on top of Outer Haven with Liquid was just pure win. I was surprised to know that Liquid was trying to do the right thing, but in the wrong way.

I didn't expect Johnny to look normal, either. :P

My favorite boss had to have been the Raging Raven battle, and my least favorite was Crying Wolf. Crying Wolf would run off, break some trees, then the PMCs would turn and look in my direction.

I give MGS4 a 100/10, it had the best storyline in a game, and the characters were just full of win, especially Drebin and his monkey.

And how many times did Johnny escape death? 5, or so?

I have to say I was a tad disappointed with the boss battles, they where too easy and not interesting at all, She ate people, she killed people. Wow I never knew girls had such issues I mean come on you see these guys in the old MGS doing things 100x worse and they don't crack.

I just beat the game.  Oh my God...I have to say this is my favorite MGS game to date and I'm not just saying that because it's the newest.  I absolutely loved EVERYTHING about it.  ∞/10

You didn't play MGS1 or 2, maybe you did but you fail. On MGS1 Liquid was Alive then died at the end, in MGS2 that put his arm on Ocelot then allot of stuff happend.

Wow you completely missed one of the most important plot points of the game. Ocelot took data from liquids nano machines to trick snake and the patriots into thinking he was under liquids control.

And I did infact play all of the solid series.

I haven't played MGS1 or 2 but I watched my friend at his house a lot in my youth so I got some scraps of reference and it really isn't hard to tell what's going on: that's the way they said they were making it; "for amateur and hardcore players of the MGS series."

I lol'd when I saw Zero at the end. I didn't know his name would be so literal. I thought his assasination was going to be a big part of the ending
I also lol'd when Physcic Mantis said my controller had no vibration so he couldn't move it left to right: "NO VIBRATION EITHER?! YEAAAAAAAAARGH!" :D

My arm is so forgeted up from tapping triangle down that hallway, I nearly cried when I saw everyone suffering at the top of the screen to give me more time to TAP THE DAMN TRIANGLE BUTTON D:

The Liquid / Snake fight was so dramatic too that after my little brother (Andrew) and I (Michael) both finished the game I shouted "ANDREW!" and did a dramatic look to the sky with muscles tensed and Andrew did the same with my name. Then we had some painful, painful fun.

Quick question: does it ever say why Akiba is not affected by the thing that makes everyone else with the nanomachines go crazy? I am pretty sure it is because he doesn't have them or whatever but then why would he be in the group with the other three?

Yeah, he doesn't have them.  He said when the group would do something awesome involving the nanomachines, like when they took out those 3 FROGS at the same time, he'd just duck out.  Good ol' Johnny.  lol

I've been playing though MGS1 again and I knocked out Akiba my prison guard :D It was so epic knowing who he was going to be in the future.
