Flying things are not that bad at the moment, but keep that loving spider away from the dwarves


The quick defense doesn't have to keep the complicated stuff out; that's what your second layer is for.

We have dug out a small area for us to stay in, and it is walled off with fortifications and we have started digging out rooms for a masons workshop.

Second rule is a must, first rule is iffy. I like the idea of launching the next player into a mysterious fort that might seem really forgeted up to him, like a surprise, and then he has to implement his own changes in order to right whatever seems crazy to him.

Then again, there are some things that might be fort-dangering if not pointed out. I'll leave this one up to you guys.

I havn't written in my journal for a while, but there has been lots of work to do.
We have started a tunnel to get magma into the moat, and we have a bridge over our moat.
We also have started a bit on irrigating the farm, and we have a food stockpile and a kitchen.
The spider still hasnt attacked.
