Day of Defeat: Source

I recently bought Day of Defeat: Source and it's a really cool game. It is different from other online FPS because it really gets you in to it. Here is a quote from the DoD:S home site.

Quote
Day of Defeat is all about teamwork. Playing any of six different classes, teammates can utilize the built-in communication systems to coordinate attacks, defensive stands, and tactical retreats. With its unique mix of special abilities and weapons, each class plays a vital role in a team’s success. The goal of the game is to capture all of a map’s control points while eliminating enemy troops.

Here is another quote from some random gaming website.

I have never played a game were you can hear bullets whipping past your face and guns shooting in the distance. You cant lean left or right like in most FPS's so you have to be tactical and find a spot to shoot without having to lean.

There are six different classes: Rifleman, Assault, Support, Sniper, Machine Gunner, and Rocket class.
Each class has something for everyone. I like the Assault for close range and to have enough ammo to kill someone else, I like the Support even better for fast kills and the single/multiple shot choice.

It was recently updated so now it has achievements, like 'Kill 1000 people with the Sniper class' or 'Defeat the opposing team without having any objectives destroyed!' So now there are more things to work for. There is even a reward for it, for the 'Kill 500 men with the Thompson' and the 'Kill 1000 men with the Assault class' Achievements, you get a shiny new icon for your guy, so people know you have skills. If you have gotten all the Achievements,  You get a Golden icon. And then people know you have NO LIFE! :D

It is only $10 I'm not sure about any other Dollar type. If you decide to buy it my Steam account is Klayboxx|h²|rec*  hope to see you there.

Oh sht, almost forgot  the link. http://www.dayofdefeat.com/   There you go.

I played for the free weekend, was really fun. I don't think I will buy it though(or at least not now-- I do think I might get it later).

I loved using the support-- he's a good all-rounder.

Yea support can kill in exactly three hits in the chest. I love AFK players :D

I forgot to try it on the free weekend.

The update made the kar a piece of crap. I shoot a grunt in the chest while using my iron sights while crouching, it hits his leg and he turns around and gets a headshot with the BAR from across the tank area in Donner.

Wut.

Ninja Edit: I assume your speaking classes.

Ninja Edit 2: I noticed I did not add to this topic, The KAR is OK, but it shouldn't be that bad, try going prone.

They werent Ninja Edits

The MG42 is so ridiculously easy to use when you find a good spot to deploy. Try setting up on the balcony over Axis 2 on avalanche. Getting a high kill-death ratio has never been easier.

Its not such a great game, as most valve games tend to be a 1 hit kill over and over, it can get quite boring. One of the main reasons why I don't play most Valve games. TF2 has a few of those problems but at the same time not every class shoots bullets.

But this time its a one-hit-kill over and over during WW2!

Pretty much, they take CSS and put a new theme on it and WHAM'O NEW GAME.
