Author Topic: Games for Windows is now free.  (Read 3546 times)

According to a website I visit, Games for Windows Live is now entirely free. I wasn't able to find any other sources (and the website didn't provide any), but the website in question is reputable.

Upon checking the actual Game for Windows site, it appears that Games for Windows Live (including the Gold Subscription) is now free.

Check it out here!

Does my 360 Gamertag gets automatically "updated" or do I have to create a new one? :S

EDIT:
Neither my Gamertag or E-Mail lets me sign in. Gay.

Wait.. so playing online on the Xbox is now free?
goodbye2sony gaming.

Free, apart from the whole "buy Windows" thing.

Why does it not work.

im doin it rong D:

Wai wait wait.

Is Xbox Live now free?

Like you no longer need a subscription?

and Nintendo would be going "crap, there goes are plan to have a service like x-box live and make money off of it", but apparently they don't care about the "hard core gamers", or any real "gamer" for that matter.

I don't think so...
I think games for windows is windows Xbox live

Also i thought free games when i saw the title, silly me

Looks like it doesn't even work anyways.

I'm still lost i don't get this at all.

Why should they care about "hardcore gamers"? Their old principle customers bought whatever stuff they crapped out as long as it said Mario or Metroid on it. They will just continue that trend.

The casual gamers are where the money is at. I can't blame Nintendo for pursuing bigger heaps of cash, I mean, that's what they have always been doing right?

SOMEONE CLEAR THIS UP CAUSE THIS IS COMPLEAT BULLstuff

just when my Xbox reaches Texes i find out that Live is possibly going free. What makes things worst is that idk if its true.

You need a Windows LIVE account, it works on the Xbox 360.

wait, isn't that what you need to make a Xbox360 Live account?
