You'll need to eventually. Game developers aren't going to stick to the same requirements just because you don't want to get a new pc.

wtf. all games have menu in options for graphics settings.
if you have no clue how to find just the settings alone, then you really should not be on a computer.

i never play half life 2 only portal team fortress 2 and garrysmod and peggel extreme

hey tofu, i might of asked you this before, but the graphics in your avatar look like the graphics from 'the ship', is the character in there the ship? or is that some garrys mod thingy. looks like gman, but i just woke up and my visions all blurry from early wake up

Open your console ingame and type buy_newrig. This also works in every other game!

Try Alt+F4, then it'll pause your game and do an auto configuration for Half Life 2.

Trust me, it works.

Step 1:start the stupid game
Step 2:go to options
step 3: go to video options
step 4: set every thing to low and turn off shadows
step 5: start the game, when you see G-man talking to you it works
