A few weeks ago a cat was run over in front of my house. We were afraid my dog (Chihuahua) would "inspect it" and get hit as well, so I sent off to bury it. My cousin and I were standing at the end of the driveway with shovels waiting for an SUV to pass by. As it closed in it swerved out of its way to hit the cat right in front of us. The cat went flying up a couple of feet and landed at our feet. I know it was a random stray, but if you see people standing near a dead cat in front of their house, chances are it's their cat. They didn't know that.
