Installing Vista

Most people say Microsoft "Mojave" is great, too bad you're gonna miss out.  http://mojaveexperiment.com  Owned, Vista haters!

It's not like they're going to say anything bad about the 'new' operating system, or else they wouldn't show it. Also, a lot of those people said they haven't even tried Vista, they just hear bad things, so that's what they based their opinions on.

People hate Vista but I personally love it, to many people are to picky and bitchy about computers. Also I wouldn't install XP/Vista on 2 different computers, I did it with my XP (which I removed from my old computer) and the new one has allot of problems.

the vista incompatibilities seem (to me) to be gone by now. ive had no problems running any app or game, or using any hardware.

and yah, vista IS a memory hog, but who the hell thinks 1gig of ram is good enough anyway? upgrade that stuff.
when win2000 required 64m of ram, people said the same crap about upgrading to XP.
"wtf?!?! 512m memory and 1mhz or higher required? that's bullstuff!!, stuffty OS"

I don't like Vista. I got it to try it out.

The Media Center of doom is about as far as I could get in. It had a snazzy screen and all that, but it froze my computer. Thanks windows tour. I always wanted to see the new features of Vista.

I may still have the copy floating around and I may install it again.

Edit: Fixed a grammatical error. In the proccess of fixing it, I managed to make a double post.

Oh my. I just had my first accident via clicking the quote button instead of modify. I only noticed it after I pressed the save button. I need to be a bit more careful.

Sorry for the double post, guys!

They had some people who didn't like it.  But some of you guys should try it again, it's much better now, SP1 was a great thing.

Well one thing I would like to know before I try a new OS, is how much memory should I have if I am going to be playing HL2 and Gmod?

I only have 958MB of RAM with Vista Home Basic, and I run HL2, Gmod, and Portal just fine.

Dammit Colten, you beat me to it, but yes. I can run HL2 and all that stuff with just 1 gig of ram.

8gbs seem to run vista just fine.

I'd really hope so.
Or else that would prove that Vista really DOES suck.

lol ive got a few sidebar apps that, if idle for about 3 hours, will use up to even 6g of memory lol.

but as soon as i open an app or game, it all moves to whatever active window i need.
