Should bumping be worthy of a ban?

Yes.
No.
No, there should be a different consequence.

So...do the people who bump double-click the post button or something?

I bet. That is possibly why he banned someone who bumped a topic in the Gallery section, I think.

Nah, they're just noobs that don't get it.

IMO, you guys should stop trying to run Badspot's forum.

So a suggestion is trying to run something?

i.e.

Person A:"You should get those shoes. They look good."

Person B:"QUIT RUNNING MY LIFE!"

In my opinion, bumping isn't bad if you're a member who's new to the forum atmosphere and doesn't know how things run.

I for one started out on the forums bumping every cool build in the gallery I could find just so that I could express my opinion. I didn't know that it was wrong, and I didn't realize that the forums are a working chat log, being updated and replied to every few seconds. I just assumed it was a place someone could stamp their opinion in a thread just so that others could see. I learned later on, and here I am now.

On the other hand, if you're an experienced member who's been on the forums for some time and you go on a bumping spree... that's punishable.

Well something needs to be done like an auto lock after 120 days. Noobs bumping old topics make new builds go to the next page.

The once I hate are the one that are more then a year old, say 2,3, but on the other hand things Bones4 titanic or Sniff boat should be bump, thier epic, or should have a forum for the epic builds that everyones votes on.

yes because who cares! (and i dont even know how to tell if some thing was posted in 2007,6,5,4,7,8,9,7,6,5,3,2,4,5, :cookie:

Okay then... so you don't know how to look at the dates above posts?

Some bumping isn't bad, like when a topic was posted last year about some super awesome gun, but then this year you thought of a way to make it. But then again, you could always just create a new post with a link to the original.

I don't give a stuff if someone bumps a thread. If people wouldn't post in the bumped thread calling the bumper a noob and such, this wouldn't be a problem.

There is a problem if a really old topic gets bumped with an un reasable bump that had nothing to do with the topic in the first place.
