I've seen rep systems work well, where people will give posts and members that they like reputation points. The higher your rep, the higher your rank?

You stole that idea right out of my head (Which, by the way, came from other forums, mind you). Make it so that you can only give/take away 1 rep point a day and you have to at least have 50 posts to start. All off-topic posts don't count towards those 50 and any spam posts seen by Badspot could be removed from the 50. I think if you were to get like 500 rep, you would become an "Elite". If you drop below that 500, you would have to re-earn how ever many points you lost. This system might get rid of a lot of negative comments that other users *Cough*yuki*Cough* produce.

Also, yes. While I may not be the most liked forum member, I've been here for quite a while and anyone who knows me in-game likes me. I'm sure anyone who's been here more than a week knows my name, and has seen my server or some variation thereof.

All I'm saying is this would stop a lot of negative comments coming from everyone, you just happen to be a mass producer of those comments. And people do know your name and find negative posts associated with it. I never said I didn't like you, I just said that your pretty negative.

Also, I see what you mean, and I repeal my earlier comment. That would work, but "Rating Bombing" would occur. Perhaps a system to vote people into the Gold positions?

Or maybe a combination of the two? You could either become a Gold by either getting 500 (Without being kicked if you drop under that 500 mark) or being voted in. And the only way to be removed is by Badspot kicking you.

It is still biased to people that have been on the forums longer due to their experiance, time it has been for them to get points, and the forum based fanboyism from older more respected members. Even I get that last one.
