this is before GLaDOS  and everything and i will give you the story without giving too much away

  You are a test subject at Aperture Laboratories named Abby.  You do all the challenges ect. ect...   But the enrchiment center is not run by GLaDOS, but rather the Aperture Science employees.  The employees decide to test out the new GLaDOS to run the place and yeh...

So GLaDOS is not unplugged but actually made.  (It is basically the back story of Portal)

SPOILER: (Hilight to read) In the end GLaDOS has her Morality Core put in, after almost killing you, then you are dragged to safety, then you randomly fall in the enrichment center parking lot, where GLaD's parts fly in the end of Portal, and see Gman, lit by lightning.
