Author Topic: Port the 2-D event.  (Read 1202 times)

I would like someone to port the 2-D mod to V10. I wasn't so much for it during V8, but now that I have events, I can make Mario with it! :D

I was wanting the same thing.

Please let's have some more feedback. And who made it anyway? But just imagine 2-D mario.....
Coins as bricks that disappear when you touch them.
Pipes with "SetPlayerTransform" that would take you to a lower/higher level
Different worlds and MOVIES!

I really didn't like this in V8, it didn't serve much of a purpose, but events make it WONDERFUL!

PS:Even better if someone could port the fireball (FIRE MARIO!)

yeah i agree with you 100% L

i would definitely use this

I would also like it, but let Space Guy do his other stuff first.

Oh, space guy did it. Then yeah, let him do his other stuff, although he could always just give someone permission to port it.

@D player was epic. With his V8 events I made a mario game.

It used a lot of schedules to keep it 'working' and players in line, which caused lag if more than 3 or 4 players used it at once.

I think it may be possible to use the (new?) player type attributes for angles and offsets to make the view follow you from the side, but no matter how I edit the player's yaw speed (maxYawSpeed = 0 in both datablock and player) they are still able to turn to the side and off the 2d grid, which is annoying.

The 2D minigame type was shaking as forget. Maybe i built my world wrong but it wasn't good. And you couldn't ride vehicle.

It was shaking because the schedules broke if the host switched windows or more than three people tried to use it at once.
