Author Topic: new event "on vehicle touch"  (Read 1602 times)

I did not see it on the first 3 pages so i assume any other one like it is dead. it would work the same as the "on player touch", would help for portal builds, action movies or just plan driving a car out a building that's blowing up.

It's been requested many times, and all topics have either ended with
"It's impossible."
or
"It's possible, but would be extremely complicated."
Either way, this is something somebody needs to develop!

well look at the horse, its a vehicle, and its a bot, so know that i think about it, maybe it has something to do with the actual model's code

It's possible, but would be extremely complicated.

It's possible, but would be extremely complicated.
Then somebody needs to make it! This has been wanted for too long, with way too many requests.

It's possible, but would be extremely complicated.

i thought it was going to be as easy as renaming "vehicle (EX:car)" to "bot_car" or something like that

Just to tell you guys, it's impossible unless Badspot makes engine changes.

Aw. Well then Badspot should make engine changes. :D

No, it's very much possible.
I know how*, but like hell I have the attention span.

*I spent a few hours ripping apart pre-existing add-ons to find out.

(If some pro scripter wants what I know, just PM me.)

That was a LOL post because of this:

[sigh]It was such bad humor, that you had to point it out yourself.[/sigh]

I just use that proximity event.

It's not laggy, or hacky.
I just need to find out how to make zones (i.e. Safe Zone Tool from V8) and I'm good to go.

I even have a functional onVehicleCollision so far.
