Build 22 is out! You should be able to install it over previous versions without problems.

This is a big one, especially on the content side. Highlights include:

TONS of new official weapons and actors implemented thanks to new content producers Capnbubs and Numgun - most of the balancing, costs, and audio effects are still works in progress.
Lots of new exclusive and amazing in-game music thanks to DannyB of dB Soundworks. More on this later!
Completely new, completely awesome full-blown mission with almost completely hand-painted environment!
Vastly more interesting and reactive AI actor behavior
AI GO-TO mode waypoints can lock onto moving actors - make squads move in groups!
2X Windowed mode for easier to read fonts and screen action
Buy menu lists are now grouped into data modules/factions
Description popups for almost every item
Items and actors can now be loaded into Craft!
New installer will ask if you want to remove EVERYTHING or leave your installed mods and settings
Lots more I can’t remember right now
UPDATE: Whoops, forgot to include a file that regulates the Skirmish fights. If you downloaded before this message appeared here, you can download a quick patch from here. If you are downloading the build now or later, don’t worry, the current setup file has been updated.

It cost 18 Dollars but, seems well worth it when they get some more content done.

Build your own bunker - At the start of most missions, you are able to take your time and build your own command bunker from scratch. Easily design twisting tunnels and place doors, traps, and turrets to thwart your enemies' intrusions! Pre-deploy and equip bodies in and around your installation to prepare yourself for your objectives. Don't spend too much though, or you won't have enough funds left when the mission starts!

In-game buying menu - At any time and place during the game, bring up a powerful menu to order new bodies and equipment, all delivered at the location and by the transport ship of your choosing. Rockets are cheaper but unreliable and harder to land. Drop ships are far more expensive but can quickly deploy entire groups of puppets onto difficult terrain. Ships and equipment returned to the TradeStar are refunded to your account.

Fully destructible environments - The gold you need to excavate is sprinkled throughout the terrain of each scene. Use special digging tools to blast your way into the dirt and debris. All the pieces of bodies and ships from your struggles will fall to the ground and permanently add to the battlefield. Get more powerful (and expensive) diggers and you can even tunnel into your enemies' bunkers from below!

Four-player cooperative and/or versus multiplayer - Gather your friends and plug in those game controllers! Play skirmish or campaign missions with or against up to three of your buddies. 2 vs 2, 1 vs. 3, 4 vs. the CPU - it's up to you! (rhyme intended). Flexible control settings allow you to use the keyboard, keyboard + mouse, or any generic game controller you can find and plug in.

Built-in editors and modding - Several in-game editors allow you to easily create your own stuff. The game's engine is built to make it very simple to modify and add your own content. Design your own missions, guys, ships, weapons, tools, bombs, and shields - and easily share them with your friends. Please note that Cortex Command is currently a work in progress and NOT a finished product! The campaign mode and missions are not yet present in the version available right now. However, you may buy a discounted license today, which will unlock the features of all future versions up to and including the final with the full campaign in it!

As we at Data Realms continue to release more complete builds of the game, we will also be reducing the discount gradually until we reach the final version and full price of the product. So the earlier you buy, the better value you get! Although we are very passionate about this project, we cannot guarantee that it will be completed - that's why we offer the discounted price instead of a pre-order deal at full price.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Its coming to mac in less then a month! CC is awesome!

Sweet, this looks badass.

Yay...more underwhelming updates. Wow...1 month and all we get is one half-arsed level?

I suppose it is better than "lol guys, I integrated LUA" or "lol guys, I spent all your money on guns and booze last weekend".

I like it, I like how it adds a new faction, a stuffload of weps, and some more stuff.
Dummy grenade launcher is love.

It's fun to go in with a shotgun and blow up incoming enemy aircrafts. <3

Dummy Grenade Launcher is ACE.

Gets old fast..

the ai is brain dead and the controls dont feel fluent at all :(

The controls are perfect for me, you can change them, and the AI has been changed majorly.
They will duck and such when getting shot at, if an explosion goes off they duck.
So yeah, the ai is getting great

If you're not godmodding your bunker you will probably lose with the activities numgun made.

If you really want to lose, change all the diggers to Heavy, and take away all the pistols and riot shields so the AI can actually move (numgun overloaded some of the soldiers).

I use the abductor mod and abduct loving everything.
Then I go into space and sell it.
