Ok I was just looking at the back of my magazine and it said "Games for Windows LIVE", then my brain skipped then I read it again. Does this mean you need Windows LIVE to play online? If so then its totally not worth buying.

yes you do. And even on the steam version. And the steam version has DRM. And the game has bugs up the ass

there was always mention that someday, all developers might just stop making pc games and stick to console only. to avoid piracy easier.

but they just cant help it can they, they come crawling back with every game.
PC gaming has a healthier future then consoles do, when with stuffty DRM stuff
i would enjoy breaking the law as much as any guy, but i don't see why everyone is getting so upset about DRM. you happily pay money for your console games, what difference does it make?
are you upset because you cant pirate it? or because the developers don't trust you?

paying for, and owning and playing games haven't changed since the 70s. who the forget cares now that companies remind you that you have to continue.
even blockland requires you to pay, and your at the leisure of badspot that in the future you can even continue playing. as a new install of game requires your key to re-register online, over a server that may not exist tomorrow if he felt like it. what hes doing is no different.

hypothetical questions not meant for you 2 lol

Actually They did some fancy stuff with the DRM, CD users get unlimited install's

Also apparently its VERY poorly optimized

FYI: Steam IS DRM.

I know that. But i mean it has securom.

Okay, let me get a few facts straight with you guys, I bought the game, and I love it, you don't have to pay to use the GFWL (Games for windows: Live), Securom is for initial activation only (basically release date and CD Key check), there's no limit to STEAM activations and for christs sake, it's not bugged up the ass, you guys just have stuffty PCs.

I admit that it's extremely unoptimized for the time being, but I run it just fine at medium medium.

I don't even have it. Check the steam gta iv forums.
