Half Life series.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just played through Half Life 2, Episode 1 & 2, and I must say, they are by far the greatest games I've ever played.

I'm going to get some of the classics over Christmas break, and I was wondering, should I get the pack with Half Life, blue shift, opposing force, and Team Fortress classic, or just Half Life and Half Life deathmatch?

(I already have Half Life 2: Deathmatch, that's fun :D)

Oh, and by the way, feel free to discuss the series. This thread isn't about my question, although I would like it answered.

They're so simple, the only innovative thing (HL2) brought to the table was the Gravity Gun...





...And I love it for that. Overcomplicated games are too present, sometimes I just like to play a shooter game where you solve a puzzle here and there. I love this series. Even better is the engine it's built on.

Don't forget to get Half-Life 1, it's a bit older but it's really fun and it will keep you busy  for a long time.

That's the one I would get if I was you, blue shift explains barneys back story and opposing force is pretty much like Half-Life 1 from a marines point of view, well they are both set during the same time frame at black mesa.

I like EP2 except for Hunters and the loving RIDICULOUS STRIDER BATTLE at the end. Seriously, it's pretty much impossible on Hard.

It just involves the aperture place for got what its called the borialis I think. I dont think it will actually have the portal stuff though.
