Author Topic: TI-84 Calculators  (Read 2969 times)

I'm a TI-89t guy.

I'm spoiled :D
oh forget you and your computer algebra

I love my TI-84 Plus Silver Edition. I have made many apps on it, and it's a great way to pass time during classes.

I can't find any games for my 89. Anyone know where any are?

At my school in the last few weeks a few of us have started programming on our ti-89t. One student made an rpg-type of game plus pong (using cheap Go Tos). The calculator couldn't handle my mini game engine so I stopped :(

I haven't used GoTos yet.
I just use simple While loops to run the game.

I did have to create a modified way to use getKey though, since if you If getKey more than two times in a While loop it slows your program down a lot.

I also learned how store shapes in lists today for my Tetris pieces :D

i have one. i divided by zero and it exploded.

Hahaha! Insainly old memes are hilarious!

I have an 83 Plus.
I've made lots of programs on it. Just to name a few:

A 'speak' program - a silly little program that said phrases that meant nothing, however with correct grammar

Several programs to help out with math - my most complex and useful would be the one that calculated expected outcomes from actual outcomes for matrices, for stats

A factor finder - Input a number, and it calculates all the factor pairs for that number. I never had a use for it, but I think I gave the code to another blocklander who needed it.

A path follower - Draw a path in a certain format, input the starting and ending positions, and it will follow it. Kind of like a maze solver, except it only follows one path, no splits, turns, dead ends, or that stuff that would make it a maze.

Several things with falling characters, including * to be snow, etc.

there's not really that much of a difference between the 83 and 84
just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit more ram

It's also noticabley faster. One of the programs I made was a timer, accurate to about half a second per minute. When I sent it to my friend's 84, I had to slow down the loop quite a bit to get it to work accurately.

1) Me
2) Yes, It's called Basic, it's a language
3) Yes. It's very stuffty, and if I actually tried for more than a minute, I could make it way better.

LOL

Geeks acting as Dudes. make a topic!

Not worth a topic IMO :\
