RTB ConnectRTB Connect is the name of the messenger and buddy list system we plan to introduce in RTB 2.1. It will support the following:Standard multi-window messagingBuddy List with presence indicationStatus indication (busy/afk/ingame)Buddy RequestsAbility to see buddy's server and joinProfiles (name/email/website/gender/age)Buddies sorted into groups on buddy listAlerts when certain buddies sign onBlocking of annoying buddies (as opposed to removal from list)Group chats/chat roomsOnscreen popups when you get messaged (in the corner like msn or aim)Integration with MSN and AIM to let you talk to msn/aim people from in BlocklandSecure accounts based on BL ID (no hacky irc-based stuff)Restricting people who can add you based on build/full trust with themFile transfers such as save files or screenshots (this has not been tested yet so we're not sure we can add it)As you can see its a pretty hefty system. Accounts will be based on your BL ID and will be pre-generated for you instead of registering for one, so that means one account per person. There is no estimated release date as of yet, so don't ask.Here is a prototype for the gui I made earlier. This is roughly what it will look like although I expect all the buttons will be shuffled around.
I'm fine with of being a part of rtb, I have rtb, and I agree, why wouldn't you want rtb? It has so many more features that complement blockland so well. I am excited to see rtb connect in action, any ideas of when it will come out?
Blocking from annoying buddies
Shouldn't their be an ignore list for that? Because if you want to ignore someone I don't think he will be your buddy so much...
What if we don't want RTB?He just wants a friends list for the regular BL.
