yeah they're great if you don't want to look respectable

I look pretty respectable, thanks, lol. If you have 2" holes in your ear, wear leather pants and a spiked jacket, that's not respectable. But a small piece of wood in my ear with business casual attire looks just fine.

Theres a reason why I'm not getting tattoo's, piercings, stupid hair cuts, ect ect. If I do than it'll put a automatic NOPE on everything I do.

i don't think you do

For once I agree with Boltser, gauges only make you look bad, I don't see whats so great about getting a hole in your ear that'll just look worse and worse as you grow up.
Oh god... I'd hate to see the todays generation when they turn 50 :c
I'll be sure to drive a car into the grand canyon when I turn 60.

That tiny black one in the very front is the size of gauge I have. It's tiny. I can't even stick a pencil through it. It'll close up if I take the tapers/plugs out. :o

i don't think you do

That's okay, because I don't care what you think. :o

Christ every generation says this about the previous one and we all end up fine.

i don't know business culture but nobody with gay ear holes ever makes it in corporate culture lol

This time is a bit different. Imagine 60 year olds with saggy ear holes and tattoos all over their bodys along with a bunch of piercings/piercing holes.

I've made it pretty well so far. If I lose my job because of my physical appearance, it's not a job I want to have anyway. If someone is going to judge you and assume you have no work ethic because you have a 4mm hole in your ear, then forget them.

No it's not, it's not different at all. 30 years ago, people were freaking out over leather pants and tattoo's saying "oh gawd when u r ___ years old u wil be so gros!!11!"

50 years ago people were freaking out about how people were taking LSD and wearing natural fibers and not showering. (most likely one of your parents)

80 years ago people were freaking out when a woman wore a dress that showed her ankles. we turned out fine (better actually, i'm a fan of exposed legs)

what i'm saying is get the forget over it. every generation has their way of personalizing themselves. whether it be wearing a greatful dead shirt, a leather jacket, or a piece of plastic in your ear. who the forget cares. you are who you are because that's who you want to be. everybody floats on. the only ones that don't are the bitter old forgets that nobody wants to be around anyway. the people who do nothing but complain about how todays generation is blahblahblah. mother forgeter if that's how you go through life you'll be nothing but disappointed.

There is a reason I would rather live out here....
Its to avoid certain people you'd find in a city.

they're still yuck and when i make it to a corporate position of power, i'm not letting anyone with those yuck things progress through the company

Why would you oppress someone just because of their appearance? D:

Why would you oppress someone just because of their appearance? D:
because it's corporate

we have standards

I would never get a gauge because imo they're kind of ugly but I wouldn't judge someone because they have one. Live and let live.
