So I haven't gone to the gym in over a month, and pretty much gave up my entire diet and protein regiment. Think I'm still in pretty decent shape.

It's easy to maintain shape. Doing 15 minutes of sprint pace keeps your legs in shape, and half an hour at the gym keeps the rest of your muscles in shape.
That being said, I haven't done either in a month or so.
