Doing that would beat the purpose of buying the ram, I have 1gb in right now, and the one I got is also 1gb

I got a stuff-load of virus's and it removed my ability to use Start->Run. :(Nah, Its not old. We've had it for maybe a year or two. Thanks :D

You have more important things to do than installing RAM. System restore now!  >:O

Open up computer

take out old ram ( if necessary)

Put in new ram (may not fit in perfectly. Make sure the side clips snap onto the ram card)

Very important! I've had some frustration because of those very clips.

When you open your case, touch your power supply or get a grounding bracelet.

Grounding removes the static electricity from your body. Static electricity forgets over your computer major times.

Witch one is recommended?
I think I could buy a grounding bracelet somewhere, but is touching the power supply easier?

It wasn't a compliment. My point is you are being way too serious over this static.

Alright, I unplugged the computer, had to take out another stick of RAM to get mine in, but all went well, and the computer is working fine. Thanks for the help guys.
