I like the PS3 a lot. I got it for LBP originally, but I seriously love it now.

Also, I have the option to create a virtual memory card for PS2 and PS1 games. But I can't loving play the games on my PS3. Anyone mind telling what that's all about?

You can link the systems together methinks and copy the games onto your PS3 HDD

What do you mean copy the game?
How to link systems?

Edit - According to some guy I can download something from the PSN store which allows me to play my PS2 games. Brb, checking.
Nevermind the guy is an idiot.

Buying a used old model PS3 is a viable option.

Unlike most other Sony products the PS3 doesn't break when you look at it the wrong way.

Let's just say that you could waste your time on consoles and such, or you could spend your savings on a PC that will last you a few long, good years.

Wii: Pretty cool games that you get bored of half an hour later. The whole joystick attachment thing is also a loving hassle. along with the sensor bar. Setting up online is also a hassle, where the forget is the PPPoE option. Wtf @ friend codes, too. Browser costs money.
Conclusion: Good for small kids, a loving hassle though.

PS3: loving huge. Good exclusives though, online is easy to set up and the wireless controller is good. Has a friend system, no restrictions as to curse words. Wtf @ no backwards compatibility though.

Xbox 360: I dunno, never had one. Menu isn't too appealing for me, and the controller is weird. Reminds me of the gamecube controller. Online costs money.

Conclusions: It's either you get a PS3 or an Xbox 360. Wii sucks.
Ahh, good ol' older PS3.  I love backwards compatibility.

I'm waiting for the day the warranty runs out.

That's when they like to strike.
