The best console is no console.
PC FTW.

Also, Commodore 64, that's the next best.

You're all a bunch of dumb stuffs.

No, they're just all trying to be old-school.

I'd go with the PS3, but I might get a 360 just for Fable 2.

I say PS3

PS3 : Great for watching movies and playing the occasional game. They even have interactive movies like MGS4.

360 : Great online experience (you get what you pay for) and wide catalog of games appealing to all ages (Viva Pinata all the way up to Condemned).

Wii : eh... Cheap and simply, but not worth the $250. Control scheme is a gimmick and most games only appeal to younger audiences. You could get a more enriching experience at the local arcade with a bag of quarters.

Dreamcast was freakin' awesome for it's time.
Has anyone said that yet?

get the n64 if you can find one. shouldnt be too hard. Games are like 2-5$ at my game place too.

if you want a current generation system:

Wii: it is Okay, only if there is some game you really want for it. The whole 'motion controls' are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. A couple finger prints and it gets completely messed up. only 4 sensitivity settings :\. Most games are full of suck. Brawl, AC:CF, and possibly one of the new sonic games if it isn't completely over-run with motion controls. Gamecube controllers are much mroe fun to play with on the wii

PS3: Expensive and the exclusive games are fail, but it is

bold is true. You wont find yourself playing as many games on this as you would other consoles

xbox360: Ah, gotta love it. Gotta be the best. Has all the best hardcore games. If you have online the next games are mehpwn to uberpwn: Halo3, CoD5, GH:WT

the wii. its epic.

and reactor, the wii has plenty of games appealing to adults, also, nintendo said they are going to make more hardcore games in '09.

and i dont see the deal with movies and music on a console. consoles are for GAMES, not watching movies or listening to music >:(

On the subject of the quote:  WE NEED MOAR SHOVELWAREZ, PL0X!

On the subject:  The original PlayStation was a great console, as with its sequel the PS2. Although superiority would have to go to the modern personal computer, IMO.

I prefer the Wii. It feels more original and creative.

Plus, I'm waiting for the Metroid Prime 1 and 2 ports to the Wii. WITH Wii controls.

Wii: Pretty cool games that you get bored of half an hour later. The whole joystick attachment thing is also a loving hassle. along with the sensor bar. Setting up online is also a hassle, where the forget is the PPPoE option. Wtf @ friend codes, too. Browser costs money.
Conclusion: Good for small kids, a loving hassle though.

PS3: loving huge. Good exclusives though, online is easy to set up and the wireless controller is good. Has a friend system, no restrictions as to curse words. Wtf @ no backwards compatibility though.

Xbox 360: I dunno, never had one. Menu isn't too appealing for me, and the controller is weird. Reminds me of the gamecube controller. Online costs money.

Conclusions: It's either you get a PS3 or an Xbox 360. Wii sucks.

Wow, I must have missed some great titles between Cooking Mama and Mario games because I could have sworn I didn't see any decent titles appealing to a more mature audience.

Nintendo's E3 show made it quite clear that they have little interest in the hardcore market anymore. Their presentation consisted entirely of a few crappy casual games.

As for movies and music on consoles, eh, I kinda agree with you. For the most part it really isn't a needed feature, but the PS3's Blue-Ray player adds tremendous value to the system. I consider it a bonus.

Kinda sad no one picked up on my MGS4 comment. Oh well.

I enjoy my PS3. And if I'm not mistaken, the 80gb PS3 ca play Ps2 games. I can't on my 40gb system though D:
