Author Topic: Things i'd like to know about Gmod  (Read 2502 times)

Hello there. I have recently aquired Gmod and would like to know a few things about playing:

1.) How to obtain player-made models/maps.
2.) When I buy a game via disc, do I get to use those models and such on Gmod?
3.) What really gets on people's nerves on multiplayer, other than the obvious, such as spam.

Thanks for reading.

I have attempted to make this post as literate as possible.

3. Spamming, moving your props [Unless Server got Prop Protection], killing eachother [GOD MODE], abusing Admin powers.

2. (I THINK) You must buy games via Steam or they will not be steam powered and you won't get the models. (ANOTHER WAY) Stuff like Orange Box or etc, will be added to your Steam account automatically.

1. Go to http://www.garrysmod.org

cd versions of the games are the same as the steam versions

I bought L4D via CD and the models didn't show up in garry's mod, is this right?

L4D models don't work with gmod built in yet

also only the maps in l4d dont work in gmod

Ok thanks.

1.) http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/
2.) To get models, the game has to be made on the Source engine. L4D doesn't do this yet, I don't think.
3.) Mingebags and the OxyGuy, nuff' said
