Author Topic: Blockland offline mode  (Read 6881 times)

If I was you. I would just do what laremere said. Block Blockland from the internet. Its the easiest fastest way I think.

go in f10 and delete the Join Server button
yeah but just hide the button somewhere so they cant find it :/

Unplug your router.
That wouldn't work since I'm not always there when they are there and I can't just leave my grandpa's router unplugged : \

I probably should have been clearer in my first post but what I'm actually suggesting is a log-in panel that restricts access to muilt-player for people who share computers with younger siblings.

Make two copies of Blockland.
Put one copy on your "zip-drive" or however you want to call it.
*The above is vital otherwise your grandma's computer's copy is broken and you have to reinstall.
On the copy that is on your grandma's computer, press F10 and delete the Join Server button assuming you have Mission Editor. Click File, Save. Overwrite.
Assuming your grandma's computer isn't portforwarded, your friends are now protected from the fiery pits of hell also known as, the Internet, while you have your own copy that is able to access the internet.

Give them a separate key to play Blockland with. If your key is continually being authenticated and appearing to move between the houses because both you and them play it (e.g. not Demo Mode, whether they're using Internet servers or not), then there's a chance your key could be deactivated or whatever.

Give them a strict warning not to join an online server :P

When I always asked my mom to go play games on lego.com, I always actually went on addictinggames.com.

In those days of my age, it was violent.

Many People have given you a bunch of different suggestions, and youve kind of shot them all down, i dont mean to sound rude, but i doubt that anyone is going to make an addon just for your purposes of stopping your cousins from using it, although, another suggestion would be, instead of deleting key.dat, simply move it to a different folder, and move it back when you want to play, it takes about 3 seconds to do.

Your ideas are great but mine is better. Snipe your cousins.

I didn't mean to sound like I was ignoring their ideas, I just didn't feel like anyone understood what I wanted.  Anyways, I really do appreciate your guys help.
